1-1 Private Yoga Sessions

I’ve been working with students on a 1-1 basis for 10 years. Many come with issues and conditions that require extra care or more focused attention. I provide 1-1 tuition with fully adaptable practices to help you feel more empowered in your healing process. I completed Long Covid training in 2021 and I’m currently undertaking Charlotte Watts course - Yoga & Somatics for Healing & Recovery - moving beyond stress, trauma, burnout, anxiety, fatigue and post-illness through embodied awareness. I will help give you the tools to manage your condition, to interrupt the processes of stress and to soothe your nervous system. None of the practices are complicated or require specialist equipment and many of the practices can be done wherever you are and can create good new habits of breath and body awareness - helping you to access more of your life. What will a session look like?

Depending on how you feel on the day, our session could contain some or all of the following;

  • Bed Yoga - simple stretching, hands-on massage and breathwork practices to motivate ‘getting up’

  • Vagus nerve stimulation - sounds, breathwork and body stroking to improve vagal tone

  • Visualisation - for when you’re feeling like movement / exercise is impossible

  • Restorative Yoga - holding postures fully supported by yoga props (pillows, bolsters) to soothe the nervous system

  • Standing postures / movements - when you need to feel the strength of your own two feet / legs. Motivating ‘movement’ and shifting from states of anxiety.

  • Ground flows - repeated flowing movements done on the ground for when you get stuck in repetitive thought patterns

  • Breathwork - to soothe your nervous system and provide a tool to switch you from stressed to calm

You won’t need any special equipment to start- yoga bolsters are lovely but so are pillows, cushions and blankets. There might be a few items that could be useful as we progress - such as yoga blocks, eye pillow and a small inflatable ball. Can discuss this as and when needed.

1-1 Zoom 60 minute sessions x 3 £135

Those experiencing strong symptoms of fatigue may prefer shorter practices, in this case I offer 30 minute zoom sessions
